Thursday the volleyball team headed out early to Varney's Kansas State Invitational at Kansas State in Manhattan, Kansas.
Friday the volleyball team defeats both Idaho and Georgia Southern with style.
Saturday the volleyball team will probably defeat Kansas State and bring home a tournament victory, just sayin'.

This is what it looks like when the Cougars win with STYLE! |
This morning the Cougars simply out-killed Idaho. They held Idaho to hitting percentages of -.054, .071, and .061 each set, while reaching .267, .314, and .108 themselves. Freshman Katie led the Cougars in hitting this morning gaining a career high 14 kills followed by 8 and 7 from Jen and Nicole. Nicole, Christie and Kat also contributed a significant presence on defense with 6, 4, and 4 block assists.
The win put the Cougars 3-2 on the season. Here is the Cougar Report.
This afternoon the ladies pulled together for a 3-1 win against Southern Georgia, 25-20, 25-22, 23-25, and 25-9.
Against So. Georgia Nicole and Jen led both teams in kills with 15 and 14, followed by Christie and Katie with 11 each. Nicole again led all in blocks recording 6 block assists. The Cougars all hit well with a total .361 hitting percentage including the last set at .591, holding So. Georgia to .192 overall.
All I can really say is that all our ladies played well all around today and I can't wait to see them keep it up tomorrow. You should be able to watch the game here. Or check out byucougars.com and find the women's volleyball schedule to follow the game.
