The ladies came to win and did so in three sets, 25-14, 25-21, 28-26.

The Cougars took the first set easy. After working for the first couple of points the ladies seemed to pull away effortlessly for the 11 point win. All around the Cougars hit, blocked, and passed well.

Weber tried for the second set, and managed to make the Cougars work for the win keeping the hitters in check with some great digs. A surprising Christie came into the set about halfway and helped the Cougars pull away at the end.

Christie, Nicole, and Jen kept up a great offense in the third set, while the Wildcats fought hard in a couple runs of their own. Efforts from both teams kept the set close and the crowd on its feet looking for a three set sweep. In the end a kill and tip from Christie lead the Cougars to the win.

The Cougars head off to Kansas tomorrow for the Kansas State tournament. There they will play three matches: Idaho at 10 AM CDT on Friday, Georgia Southern at 5 PM CDT on Friday, and Kansas St. at 1 PM CDT on Saturday. The games can be watched on Kansas State's Game Tracker found on the central-right side of the page here.

Go Cougars!
