Third Time's the Charm

On the road for the past five matches the Cougars couldn't put up a solid front to stop the Cal State Fullerton Titans from a 4 set win, 22-25, 22-25, 26-24, 23-25.

POW Jen Hamson put up a good effort Friday night.
Despite good play from some, the Cougars couldn't get three hitters in double kills and couldn't get their three sets.

Throughout the match the Cougars didn't all show up with 100% effort and it showed. It all starts with a pass and that's what got the Cougars. They failed in digging putting up only 60 digs to the Titans 84, and then turning only 51 of those into actual sets with kills.

Titans Kayla Neto, Bre Moreland, and Jennifer Edmond all came out swing killing 20, 18, and 12 for .145, .333, and .556 respectively. Contrasted to that Cougars Jen and Christie killed 18 and 13 with .292 and .316 each. Next closest Cougar was Kat with 8 and .353 hitting.

Clearly the problem wasn't from the cheering section. Even in Provo we could hear chants of BYU and Hamson, and Go Cougars, through the poor video and audio feeds provided.

A crowd of Jen's relations came to see the game and cheer on their famous cousin. Glad to have some one trying to drown the Titans. Well maybe Seth could've cheered louder! ;)

We hope that the Cougars have learned their lesson and come out fighting strong to take on Cal State Northridge this afternoon, and show them the strength of the Cougar Nation. Rise Up! Go Cougars! P.S. Here is the Cougar Report and Stats.
Not these four.

Big fans!

Hanson is on the same team as Candace.

Proper cheering technique.
