BYU vs Portland

Facing Portland for the second time in conference BYU continued to show up and play great ball sending the Pilots packing after a 76-55 defeat.
Jen contributed several spectacularly awesome blocks.

After starting out slow, BYU looked center to Jen for some points that set the Cougars on fire. Jen scored 11 first half points, a quater of the Cougars 41 points in the half. For the half the team made 16 of 35  and 4 of 13, while holding the Pilots to .321 and .400 from the arc. Throughout the half BYU dominated on both sides of the court pulling down rebounds, blocking, and of course making great shots. Throughout the second half BYU continued to dominate with most of the team contributing great points. For the second the Cougars shot 13 of 33 and 5 of 11 keeping Portland to just 11 made shots.

Lexi led the Cougars in points with 16 followed by Jen and Kim with 14 and 13 respectively. Coming in for the second half, Morgan played an impressive 7 minutes shooting 100% all around, with 2 field goals and a 3. Jen led in rebounds with 10 for her second double-double of the season. Jen also dominated in the blocking category with 4 against a Portland team that just seemed to keep coming at her. (You would think that Portland assist coach and former BYU player Jazmine Foreman would have advised against that.) As usual Haley led all in assists with 10.
