BYU at Seattle

Recently named no. 23 in the nation the Cougars took to the road and brought a non-conference defeat to Seattle, 69-55.
Steph contributed big in the defeat of Seattle.

The Cougars opened up the game on a three and kept hitting them throughout the match to keep ahead of a fighting Red Hawks team. Steph V. put up 3 treys in the first half, while Riley and Jen played big D with 4 rebounds each, and 3 blocks from Jen. On the half the Cougars made exactly half their field goals with 14 of 28, 6 of 13 threes, but only 2 of 5 free throws. The bench came up big for the Cougars contributing 13 of 36 points for the half. Seattle only made 22 points in the first half, with their bench contributing no points.

In the second half three BYU players reached double digits. Kristen led the way with 16 followed closely by Kim with 15 and Steph V. with 14.Steph led all with 4 treys followed by Kim with 3.  Jen and Rovetti also contributed 9 and 8 points respectively.

Riley also pulled out another double-double pulling down 10 rebounds, followed by Jen with 7. Of course Haley led all with 5 assists, followed by Riley and Kim with 4 a piece. Xo, Riley and Lexi all contributed 2 stealls with Jen putting up season and career high 6 blocks. (For those of you keeping track, which I realize is probably just me, this make 99 career blocks for Jen.)

In more interesting news Steph V. also picked a technical for shear awesomeness.

This win puts the Cougar record to 19 and 3, and still atop the West Coast Conference.
