For the first time in conference the Cougars fell short of perfection losing in 3 sets to the University of San Diego Toreros.
Down in San Diego, the Cougars seemed to have left all of their talent in Provo.
The Cougars fell (25-16, 25-16, and 25-22) in one of the shortest matches they've ever played this season. In fact in many ways the team that showed up on that floor reminded me of the team that only barely won more matches than lost last season.
Shawn put his whole team in throughout the three sets, but no one had it in them to rally their teammates. Nicole lead in kills with 8, closely followed by Jen and Jess with 7 each. Nicole also lead in blocks with 4. Tia lead the Cougars in digs with 6, followed by Kendalyn, Christie and Heather with 5 each.
I have nothing else to say, except we better not let this happen at home.
Here is the Cougar Report and Stats.
